Project Censored educates students and the public about the importance of a truly free press for democratic self-government. We expose and oppose news censorship and we promote independent investigative journalism, media literacy, and critical thinking.
Founded in 1988, Food For Thought is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to serving the nutritional needs of Sonoma County residents living with HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses. We provide free weekly groceries including nutritional supplements, vitamins, and whatever other goodies are on hand, for as long as these services are needed. We offer support in English and Spanish.
In collaboration with working people, congregations, environmentalists, neighborhood organizations, young Latino professionals, youth who are eager to lead, but lack venues, progressive organizations, immigrant rights organizations and unions — we seek effective ways to address the divide.
Farm to Pantry is a community of volunteers dedicated to providing fresh, healthy and affordable food to everyone. We live and glean in Sonoma County, California, where there is a growing community of farmers, gardeners, and residents dedicated to ensuring fresh and healthy food for everyone.
